callie (splatoon)

Splatoon character. Named Aori in the Japanese version.

She is part of an idol group known as Squid Sisters (Sea O'Colors in the Japanese version) with the other member being her cousin, Marie. She and Marie are also both news program hostesses that announce in-game news.

She wears a purple and black-themed outfit matching Marie's and sushi on her head.

Her Japanese name comes from the Japanese word for the bigfin reef squid (障泥烏賊/アオリイカ Aori-ika) and their band's name in Japanese is a portmanteau of "shiokara" (a Japanese food made out of various marine animals, commonly squid) and "colors". She and Marie's names in English are a play on the word calamari.
