Rayquaza is a large, green, serpentine creature. It has red-tipped, rudder-like wings on its shoulders and down its body, and similarly patterned fins on the tip of its tail.
Along with Kyogre and Groudon, Rayquaza is a part of the weather trio serving as its trio master, since it eased the conflict between Kyogre and Groudon.
It can Mega Evolve into Mega Rayquaza if it knows the move Dragon Ascent. As it can naturally generate the energy to Mega Evolve using its Mikado Organ, Mega Rayquaza is the only Mega-Evolved Pokémon with no Mega Stone and is therefore able to hold items.
