vuvuzela
A horn commonly blown by sports fans, it was largely present at 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Well known for its distinctive, extremely loud, sustained bzzz-sound especially when used en-masse. This caused them to be hated by both referees and fans as it covered the whistle's sound, interrupting the game.
