A 2006-2010 13-volume light novel series by Takemiya Yuyuko, with art by Yasu, later adapted into a manga with art by Zekkyou, and Internet radio show, a PSP visual novel, and a 2008 anime series by J.C. Staff.
Takasu Ryuuji and Aisaka Taiga are students feared throughout their school - Ryuuji, on account of his intimidating appearance (despite being a rather nice guy), and Taiga, on account of her short temper (despite her good looks). One day, they discover that they're neighbors, and have a crush on each other's best friends - Ryuuji to Kushieda Minori and Taiga to Kitamura Yuusaku. Both have since made a pact to help each other win their love interests, even as they start to become more than just partners...
