star wars: the force awakens

An epic science fiction and fantasy film from 2015. It is part of the Star Wars franchise now owned by Disney.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (also known as Episode VII) is the first of a new "sequel trilogy" of films with a plot set cronologically 30 years after the events of the "original trilogy" of Star Wars movies from the late 70s and early 80s.

The new film introduced several new characters and locations. It also featured some classic ones.
