military operator

特殊部隊 SOF specialforces specialoperations commando

A special forces (derived from special operations forces) is an elite military infantry unit being tasked for risky or demanding operations by the government or the army. An individual served in the special forces are known as a "military operator", or "operator" for short.

This tag covers military operator(s) equipped with "tactical" firearms and gear. These may consist of prototype or advanced weapons, especially those with mounted accessories such as laser sights, optical sights and/or suppressors. They are also usually seen equipped with tactical clothes and accessories, which may consist of ghillie suits, bulletproof vests, camouflaged military uniforms, helmets, night vision devices, radios and more.

Certain SOF groups, such as the US Green Berets, British SAS, and Soviet/Russian Spetsnaz (also VDV), can be distinguished by coloured berets. These are, respectively, green berets, red berets, beige berets and blue berets.
