The most recognizable Disney character, being the de-facto mascot of the company.
He is an anthropomorphic mouse created by Walt Disney and Co. His character design consist of round black ears, white gloves red pants with two yellow buttons, and large yellow shoes.
His round head and round ears have become a trademark symbol; done in a silhouette, and often hidden in pictures as a running gag. His dark persona version often produces a vicious, characteristic laughter (“ハハッ”).
Within the Japanese community, he is often depicted with identity censor as a spoof to the late 2000s court case involving Disney Japan suing the fan artists for copyright infringement, which spawned a local meme involving applying the censor across his eye and calling him an "unrelated" character.
Mickey appears with other Disney characters in the video game series Kingdom Hearts.
