The song is probably IOSYS's most famous release to date, spawning an official two-volume remix album, alongside countless parodies and references. The song is also a notable example of a Marisa-Alice pairing in Touhou fanart.
A version of the song and MV would be released by McDonald's in August 2024, stripped of its Touhou imagery, entitled "McDonald's has Created Something Incredible ~No Way They're Putting Three Thick Beef Patties in the Samurai Mac®" (マクドは大変なものを作っていきました ~サムライマック®に肉厚ビーフ3枚も入れるなし〜), advertising the return of the triple patty version of the Samurai Mac.
