makishima shougo

Makishima Shougo (槙島 聖護) is a character from Psycho-Pass. The antagonist of the series, he is an enigmatic man who frequently quotes books. He is implicated in a number of otherwise unrelated murders (including the murder of Enforcer Sasayama), where he helped the perpetrators to get the resources needed to enact their crimes. Makishima is always judging people, and those who associate with him and fail to meet his expectations end up badly. The only people he seems to be on equal terms with are Choe Gu-Sung and Kouzaburou Touma, and he holds a particular curiosity for Kougami Shin'ya. Makishima's real intention is to destroy the Sibyl system and create what he believes will be a better world. His crime coefficient is at a steady low level even when killing, and he is an extremely competent martial artist. In episode 16 he was captured by Tsunemori Akane and taken into custody, but he manages to escape, armed with the knowledge of the true nature of Sibyl.
