Azur Lane's personification of the German light cruiser Mainz, as part of a collaboration with World of Warships.

Appearance

She is portrayed with long white hair, blue eyes, and a sizable bust size. Her default outfit is a white military uniform comprising a white jacket with juliet sleeves, black belt, black gloves, Iron Cross ornaments on her cuffs and red straps, cross earrings, black hairband, black cape, black pleated skirt, black garter straps, white thighhighs, and rudder footwear.

Her rigging consists of her four intended 150 mm triple gun mounts on individual animal head pieces, while she uses a rapier as her melee weapon.

History

Mainz represents a planned "light cruiser" variant of the Admiral Hipper class heavy cruisers. Like the Mogami class cruisers, they were intended to be armed with light cruiser calibre guns to prevent suspicion during Nazi Germany's naval rearmament in the mid-1930s.

Initially, Seydlitz and Lützow were intended to be constructed to these specifications, however in 1936 the Kriegsmarine decided to finish these two ships with their intended 20.3 cm guns.

Personality

Portrayed in Azur Lane as part of the Ironblood faction, Mainz is mild-mannered and eager to do her duty for the fleet, and is relentless in her devotion to coffee.
