goh (pokemon)

Ash's traveling companion in the Pokémon Journeys: The Series.

Goh is a book-smart city boy from Vermilion City in Kanto. When he was six, Goh had a fated encounter with Mew. Since then, he has dreamed of catching the mythical pokemon. After meeting Ash and travelling to Galar, Goh meets a Scorbunny, and while he initially turns down the enthusiastic Pokémon, it eventually becomes his starter Pokémon. Now, Goh's goal is to fill his Pokédex, believing it will bring him closer to Mew, rumored to be the common ancestor of all Pokémon.

He has dark skin with spiked black hair with two ahoges sticking out of it. He has blue eyes and wears dark-colored clothing. Due to the character's androgynous appearance and a comment by the anime's producer, portraying Goh as an otoko no ko is quite common.
