gaia gear

A 1987 novel series written by Tomino Yoshiyuki and featuring mecha designs by Itou Mamoru, originally published as serials in Newtype before being compiled into 5 volumes. The series is set in the far future of the UC Gundam timeline (UC 203) and follows Afranshia Char - a memory clone of Char Aznable.

The series is currently considered non-canon.
