chest (furniture)
A chest (also called coffer or kist) is a form of furniture typically of a rectangular structure with a hinged lid on top, used for storage, often associated with treasure and other valuables. The interior space may be subdivided.
Not to be confused with crate, chests tend to have more ornate design and crates have removable lid.
