character reference (novelai)

An image that uses NovelAI's Character Reference feature (colloquially known as CR). While Vibe Transfer is mainly used for stylizing, CR is used for character design consistency.

2025-09-11: Preview Release. Currently, CR cannot be simultaneously used with Vibe Transfer or inpainting, can only use one reference (an image) per image, and does not work as well with multiple characters. It can, however, be used with img2img without inpainting.

2025-10-06: Fidelity update. Accuracy is significantly improved, and a "fidelity" slider is added for control over how strongly it tries to copy.
