    朱雀 南方朱雀

Zhu Que (朱雀) is the Vermilion Bird, one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. It is described as a red bird that resembles a pheasant with a five-colored plumage and is perpetually covered in flames. It is often mistaken for the Fenghuang due to similarities in appearance, but the two are different creatures. It is known as Zhu Que (or sometimes Zhu Qiao) in Chinese, Ju-jak in Korean, Suzaku/Shujaku in Japanese and Chu Tước in Vietnamese. It represents the south and the summer season.
