This tag is for the Octoling that serve as the player's character, and for octopus form Octolings. Do not use it for named characters such as Marina or Shiver.
In Splatoon 3, with the omission of gender-locked hair, the only canonical difference between male and female octolings is their eye masks. Octolings boys do not have an eyelash in the lower outer corners of their eye masks. Please note, however, that this is also subject to artstyle.
