    武蔵(アズールレーン)

武蔵 (Named after the province of Musashi, modern-day Tokyo)

The personification of the Japanese battleship Musashi in Azur Lane.
Character design by Dishwasher1910, voiced by Lynn.

    Appearance

She is portrayed like her sister ship Shinano and many Sakura Empire capital ships: a fox girl/kitsune with the corresponding fox ears and tails, with very long dark purple hair, brown eyes, facial marks, and large breasts.

Her default outfit is also similar to Shinano's, but colored black, with a fur trim and a very low neckline, blue print obi, and possessing a magatama necklace, big purple gemstone in the middle prayer beads, and giant magatama on the beads. Her rigging consists of two giant mechanical hands similar to Indianapolis' own rig but with two 15.5 cm triple secondary guns (one on each side), all three of her historical 460 mm triple main gun mounts on separate attachments, and a disembodied familiar behind her wielding a giant katana using the aforementioned mechanical arms.

    History

The historical IJN Musashi was commissioned in mid-1942 as the second ship of the Yamato-class, and was sunk on October 24, 1944 during the battle of Leyte Gulf. Her final resting place was subsequently found on March 2, 2015 in the Sibuyan Sea, Romblon province, Philippines, by an expedition team led by Paul Allen.
