One of the two new Navigators working with Alia in X8, the other being Pallette. Layer is a shy, busty, blushing moeblob with an obvious crush on Zero. Picture Akiyama Mio as a robot and you won't be far off. She has purple hair in a hime cut that covers her eyes, though one will pop out when she's surprised. Meanwhile, you can tell where her left eye is by the mole below it. (Given that she's a Reploid, these must all have been deliberate design choices.)
Layer's specialty as a Navigator is target analysis. She'll stop just short of telling you what weapon to use on bosses. As a bonus playable character, she wields a Layer Rapier and plays like Zero, right down to the special moves.
