Haruna (榛名, named after Mount Haruna) is the third of the four Kongou-class battleships in Kantai Collection. Though Haruna and Kirishima were completed on the same day, Haruna is generally considered to have been the third ship of the class due to having been laid down one day earlier. Character design by Konishi (koconatu), voiced by Touyama Nao.
Haruna herself has longblack or grey hair (with an often forgotten hairclip) and a redhakama skirt. She refers to herself in the 3rd person and has a warm, humble personality. Unique to her Kai-ni, Haruna has AA guns attached to her boots and cannons painted with dazzlecamouflage stripes.
