Chi (ちぃ Chii), previously named Elda (エルダ, Eruda), is the main female protagonist of Chobits. She is a small and lovable Persocom, a human-looking robot, who turns out to be a legendary Chobit, a Persocom believed to be capable of true artificial intelligence and genuine emotions and feelings like a human being. She has an irremovable program that allows her to delete all Persocoms' individual recognition abilities. She currently lives in Tokyo, Japan at the Gabu Jougasaki Apartments with Hideki Motosuwa, Sumomo, and Kotoko, and has a job at the Chiroru Bakery.
