Character from Umamusume.
A tomboyish middle child with a complex about her talented older and younger siblings. She comes built-in with a baseball reference due to the real Cheval Grand being owned by retired pitcher Sasaki Kazuhiro. Her and her sisters' marine theme is likely a reference to their owner's stint in the Seattle Mariners. Collectively, they are called the "V sisters" ("ヴ姉妹") due to their names containing a V in their International names and a "ヴ" kana in Japanese.
She made her first appearance in Paka Live TV Vol.14 as a mystery character and later made another appearance in the Umamusume 1st Anniversary Special Animation as Kitasan Black's classmate. She was finally revealed to be Cheval Grand during the 4th Live Event. She was previously referred to as 帽子の子 (literally "Hat Girl") by the Japanese fanbase after her distinctive peaked cap.
A horse girl, she has short chestnut brown hair with a white blaze marking on her bangs, blue eyes with bright pupils and wears a distinctive white and light blue peaked cap (named "Marine-chan" (マリンちゃん) by Cheval Grand) with black cover outlets for her ears, the right one having some gold decorations at the outside edge. The hat is decorated with a "anchor within a stylized V" insignia, which is shared with her sisters.
Personality-wise, she is notably shyful even to her own friends to the point that some fans compare her to another certain introvert from another anime. This is based to her RL counterpart being too shy to be able to interact with other horses or humans he doesn't know. However, the actual anime version of Cheval Grand is much more assertive compared to the game version described above. As for her relation with her sisters, she is best described as being between a rock and a hard place, or rather, a doting big sister and a teasing little sister, the two of them being contrary to her personality.
