A plush of Metal Sonic from the Sonic the Hedgehog series famous (infamous?) for its exaggerated, off-model features. It sports very long shoes, short limbs, a disproportionately long and pointy nose, and quills that appear uneven or almost pyramid-like. Its eyes are notably elongated and squished, giving Metal Sonic an expression that many describe as unamused or oddly quirky.
Despite—or because of—its unusual appearance, the Bootleg Metal Sonic Plush has become a cult favorite within the Sonic the Hedgehog community. Videos on platforms like YouTube have associated the “hue hue hue” audio (an isolated part of Sonic CD's JP Stardust Speedway Bad Future music track) with the plush, further elevating its status among fans and collectors. This meme originated around 2021 and gained wider attention by 2024, when content creators used clips of the plush paired with quirky audio to humorous effect, also coinciding with the character's appearance during the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film's post-credits sequence.
