Any form of modern protective gear that is worn over a person's body for protection against melee attacks (e.g. stabs), arrows, bullets, shrapnel, or frags. and Typically worn by military personnel, military operators, police officers, security guards, combat medics and reporters/journalists in warzones, sometimes worn by bodyguards.
Notable examples are Kevlar bulletproof vests, plate carriers that can contain ballistic plates, flak jackets, and the bulky bomb suits.
