self-upload is only for the images uploaded by the person who generated them. These were downloaded from 4chan I assume.

Well, that's a fair argument, but I guess it was fair to assume it was their own image but at least that explain why the metadata is lost.

Well, given the fact that uploader themselves tagged it as drawfag makes it a lot less likely it being their own image.
