As a proven military officer with a career stretching several decades (much of it abroad in Eurasia), Knight-Commander Rithoro Naira naturally posed for a variety of official portraits of record even before she reached her first centennial; including one in the uniforms of the Shock Armies, the Royal Navy, and the Royal Air Forces respectively and even one featuring the views of the sprawling urban landscape from the Royal Embassy in Minato City, where she was sometimes ambassador pro tem when the actual ambassador was recalled (a common occurrence in a ministry with limited access to computers and a suspicion of wireless communications). Likewise, already having more than two children enrolled in a navy school immediately granted her (and her husband) a degree of respect among her civilian peers. As intended, the portraits also served as a subtle reminder of her changing appearance over several decades, though as much as that had to do with changing body weight as much as progressing age.
[Author's Note: It's been a while since a portrait series, and here's a lot of them (for a character with a very long, decorous life). The previous set featured Saori (pixiv #108422066»), which is to be expected as she is this account's mascot, but I do like how these came out (even if it is difficult to convey that Rithoro Naira is one of the few characters, "canonically", with a larger cup size than Saori (she's an L-cup), on top of being significantly older (she was at least eighty when Saori was born). It's hard to say if the Naira daughters warrant having their own portrait set (they are meaningfully twins, and look very similar to their mother).]
