Do you want AI booru go the same way? I agree that when the guardians of morality cracked down on PornHub it became horrible. I'm trying to promote editing based on aesthetics, trusting the taste of the moderators of the site. I'm not trying to promote morality based censorship.

Open the home page of any popular free porntube. It's worse. You'll see this image as high art in comparison.

    To start with, I'd like to explain what I meant by 'gross': extremely fat or large and ugly
    https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/gross
    In this meaning, it's hard to envision a gross loli.

    The first meaning, 'extremely unpleasant', can apply to anything that people are cultivated to feel disgust for. Like in racist propaganda, for example. On the other hand, some things are generally viewed and naturally perceived as unpleasant. These are things that when you imagine that all people practice or use such things, then the world would be an unbearable place to live in or even cease to exist as the human world, for example in the case of cannibalism that also happens to be one of the paraphilias, 'vore' being its sub-category. Sonic the hedgehog clearly doesn't qualify as it wouldn't alter the normal course of life if everybody were his fan and he would feature in urban life as massively as eating comfort food. (Allow me to hypothesise: when somebody on an hentai web page complains that Sonic the hedgehog is 'gross' then that person actually means that the image of that popular video game character is not helpful in enjoying his or her titillation session).

    Qualifying something as gross is a matter of taste and also a matter of sustainability of life in general. The second is as objective as Kant's categorical imperative, but the first is subjective, I admit it. "Some", as you pointed out correctly, have one kind of taste and "some" like or dislike something different. We all belong to some "some" and navigating between these "somes" as running a media platform is not the easiest task.

    PS I agree that PornHub became horrible after the crackdown on it by the guardians of morality who, largely, are gross pervs themselves in disguise.

    ok fair, and in general I do agree, but why did you post this comment under a perfectly normal image? There are images I consider gross on this site, some were even uploaded on the same day as this one, but what is "gross" varies person by person. For some it will be furries, for others exaggerated proportions, for some beastiallity, for some sonic the hedgehog, and for some it's even cute lolis. There are rules on this site against scat and brap for example but there are people out there who enjoy it unironically. For everything else, downvotes and blacklists are your friends.

    @Lyren
    How can I avoid viewing the content of AI booru that is unpleasant for me?
    It would be great if media sites like AI booru would start to categorise the content, not blacklist. AI is so clever that is able to do it, but instead of it people are trying to train AI into some sort of perfect censor that itself is a logical contradiction, to start with.

    Blacklist exists, you are not forced to look at content you don't like.

    Tags are literally categorizing the content, the blacklist let's you pick what tags you do not see, if you do not like horse men add "horse_boy" or "furry_male" to the black list, if you do not like seeing giant penises add "large_penis", "huge_penis" and "gigantic_penis" to the blacklisted tags under settings.

    Tags don't work, neither here on Aibooru nor on Civitai. I still see gore, I still see amputees, etc. Besides, tags do not make distinction between tasteful and tasteless, natural and grotesque, confined and sadistic. Fat people can be depicted tastefully and tastelessly. Sometimes tags are indiscriminate like "huge_breasts" - D-cup will be included that are acutally not huge. This is the big delusion that editor's job can be automated or replaced by automated censorship. No, it is impossible. AI is not enough, to get cheap editing, we need true intelligence. (Although aritificial true intelligence might ask even bigger salary than a human editor does, if things get so far). Automated censorship is a total disaster. It frequently removes faultless material and can also be easily cheated.

    These posts make me regret there's no option to filter out from my feed the users who flood Aibooru with unpleasantness. Seeing what is happening to erotic galleries on the internet, it looks like there's a coordinated effort to denigrate hentai so that the public will develop revulsion against what is natural to be attracted to.

    Yes, some people are into sadomasochism, some like grotesque anatomy, some like scat. So far, they were boxed into separate categories. But now, anything that is 'of legal age' gets thrown into public space. This experiment of brainwashing people to like toxic shit by mere exposure effect might succeed. What a 'beautiful' world it will be, leaving only one option left to fix it: Great Flood.

    PS For those who would suggest blacklisting tags - it doesn't work. My feed still contains images with blacklisted tags.
